Though he thought that Axel was talking about a weapon, Luke didn't say that he didn't need protection. He could protect them both. Easily. He didn't pay the bill so much as leave a wad of cash behind and scooted out of the booth. He didn't understand that Axel was talking about condoms until he was outside.
